Privacy Policy
Effective 14 July 2026
BestBits is a local Windows application. Video libraries, review copies, comments, schedules, and app data stay on the operator's computer unless the operator deliberately sends an approved video to a connected publishing platform.
1. Information BestBits handles
BestBits may handle local video files, clip selections, captions, review comments, publishing metadata, release schedules, and technical diagnostics needed to create and publish approved videos. BestBits does not require a Snoaper-hosted account.
2. TikTok and YouTube connections
When the operator connects TikTok or YouTube, the platform provides OAuth access and refresh tokens. BestBits protects those tokens with Windows user-level encryption and stores them locally. Client credentials are stored outside the application repository. BestBits sends only the approved video, chosen metadata, and required platform declarations to the platform selected for that release.
3. Performance information
With the operator's authorization, BestBits may retrieve channel and video performance metrics such as views, engaged views, watch duration, likes, comments, shares, subscribers, and publishing status. These metrics are used locally to improve future release timing and cadence. BestBits does not sell this information.
4. Third-party platforms
TikTok and YouTube process uploaded videos and account information under their own terms and privacy policies. Removing a connection in BestBits stops future API access after the stored authorization is deleted or revoked, but it does not delete content already held by a platform.
5. Retention and deletion
Local BestBits records remain until the operator removes them or uninstalls the application data. Published videos and platform analytics remain subject to the controls and retention rules of TikTok and YouTube. Support requests sent by email are retained only as needed to resolve the request and meet legal obligations.
6. Security
BestBits binds its browser interface to the local computer, requires a per-session token, and encrypts publishing tokens for the current Windows user. No method of storage is completely risk-free, so operators should also protect their Windows account and connected platform accounts.
7. Contact
Privacy questions or deletion requests can be sent to [email protected].
